News, news, news. .where to begin...

Here's some news: I'm re-making this website. I've got some new ideas for how to build a more interesting and compelling site and I'm planning on diving into the design this week. I'm excited about it...hopefully you, the Justin Potts obsessed public, will be too!

I played music with the Olympia, Washington band feedBackarach for the first time this weekend and it was a great experience. We ran through messy, but encouragingly ok versions of Ekim Beats, Quid Pro Quo and These Eyes, with me forgetting lyrics and song structures for my own songs (I'll do better next time, honest) and then moved on to some improvised material, which was my favorite part. The band play so well together, moving from idea to idea in such a natural and fluid way. It was inspiring and gave me a lot of ideas. I'm looking forward to playing again and maybe recording with them in the near future. I had lots of fun...Matt and Kyleen took me to see Curt Cobain's house, Dave made Lasagna of a thousand delights and so much more.

I just made and hung two new collages for a show at The Waypost in North Portland. The shows title is Thousand Names of God. I used elements of many older pieces in assembling the collages. I titled them ModGod 1 and ModGod2 and you can see pictures of them here.

I know there's more I could mention but I'm drawing a blank. So, until next time, this is Justin saying "have a swell day, friend".
